BIOGRAPHY IN ENGLISH DARIO MARGELI

The music video of my new song "Somebody Pull Me Up" is ready:

This is an original song, written by its performer Dario Margeli,
with socially conscious lyrics that talk about how regular people
feel trapped in a social system of low paying jobs and bleak future.
Emphasis has been put in writing a very original melody for the song.
The recording has rock guitars by an experienced musician that
goes by the artistic name of Hat Trick. His Psychedelic Glitter style
of playing the guitars provides an energetic backing to the song.
Like a friend said, it has Fuzz all over.
The actress in the video is also a prominent photographer.
The backing vocals are by producer JAKE of Aftershock Records.

I have US Citizenship, with a degree from University of California,
Irvine. Having lived most of his life in California, with the first
dot com crash I moved to Europe.

This is my third single. The previous one achieved 9,000 views
on YouTube ( http://www.bit.ly/videoquell ) and an additional
4000 views for the various remixes. It was featured on sites like
UNOTV.NET (http://bit.ly/fhgCof) ,
Screen Soda (http://bit.ly/jTqyjZ ) and many others.

This summer saw the release by the California based record company
"Now Again / Stones Throw Records" of an album on which I worked on,
developing its booklet and as a consultant in 2010
( http://bit.ly/r6AU4J ) . This album, also released on vinyl,
has been very successful receiving praises in newspapers publications
like LA TIMES, UNCUT Magazine. It was the excitement of working on that
project that got me interested in writing my own songs again.
I had already written and recorded demos in the early 90s,
being also a bass player, but had to abandon it all once I started
going to college.

My first song release came in November 2010, and it was a
collaboration via internet exchanges with Florida guitar
player Hugh Williams.
