That Pop Sound is NOT Coming From Where You Think It's Coming + Outsourcing Stuff: Update 8 on my song Atish Bezanesh Bailatela
After applying some plug-ins to some tracks, I was listening back to the recording when I suddenly heard an annoying pop or popping noise sound. Sort of like a distortion or something getting over saturated. Because I had just applied some plug-ins to some tracks, I assumed the noise happened due to processing on those tracks. So I spent hours re-doing those tracks. Just to find out that the "pop" noise was from the guitar track which I hadn't applied any effects on. Now my ear had become more sensible in the latest listening experience, trying to catch the sound created by the new filters, and now I was hearing that POP sound error which was there all along. I am pretty much done with the recording of the music or instrumental backing of my song آتیش بزنش (Bailatela). The romanization would be: Atish Bezanesh . Or so I thought. After doing a rough mix and an analysis of the track I've decided it needs couple of more keyboard arrangements. But they are quite simple. I've decided to outsource the post-production on the vocal tracks. It has been sent over the internet to Florida!!!. The instructions to the Engineer read: Be Aggressive!!. Originally I was going to do everything myself, but Pro Tools made me very angry when trying to use some external plug-in for the vocals. There are many versions of Pro Tools and mine started asking for money in order to be able to use addtional features. I find it very annoying that Digidesign tries to cash on it's paid customers at the turn of every corner.
The solution was to switch to Cubase or Live 6, which I did. But it would take me a long time to learn their setup. Particularly Live 6 is a psycho mess of a setup and their manual is poorly thought of. So that is why it was better to outsource for now. In any case I was able to run the Orange Vocoder plugin and the result was fascinating and fun. I'll have to do an Orange Vocoder remix of the track later on.
Anyway, more delays on the song's release but couple of things learned!! So that was another day in the recording of آتیش بزنش (Bailatela) - romanization: Atish Bezanesh - , to be ready in November 2010.
